The ZÜP remains, the Bundestag passed the amendments to the Aviation Security Act on March 5, 2020. The criticism voiced by experts at the Interior Committee meeting in early February 2020 went largely unheard. This law was intended to help reduce the risk of attacks such as those on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, by intensively screening all those who have access to aircraft and airports.
