Somehow it appeals to every flier. Fly by low, fast and clearly visible to spectators near the ground. At the gliding site you can watch the cross-country pilot, proud and happy about the successful performance, as the low fast approach is converted back into altitude and at the motorized flying site the motorized pilot, who flies his oldtimer over the runway to the delight of the spectators paired as much as possible with the sonorous sound of a radial engine at ant-knee height.
Even at some controlled airfields the request for a low approach is accepted, especially if a passionate aviator is on duty at the tower.
