90 days rule
Every pilot is familiar with the term – the “90-day rule”. But there are still discussions at the airfields about who is actually allowed to fly when this requirement to carry passengers is not met.
In principle, FCL.060 b) requires three flights in the last 90 days for commercial air traffic and for when “passengers” are carried. Section 45a LuftPersV also imposes the requirement for air sports equipment. At the same time, this national regulation would not be necessary at all, at least for three-axle controlled ultralight aircraft. These are without doubt also “aircraft” in the sense of the European regulations. But this topic will probably be dealt with in the near future by an amendment of the AMC to the FCL regulation. …
